4 things to keep in mind when starting your freelance business
It's been 1 month since our official launch!
What did I learn? Well, definitely not only 4 things as this reel may suggest (more like 4 million), but I wanted to take some time to analyze this past month and celebrate this milestone.
Without further ado, this is my rundown:
Invest in yourself and in your business
I'm talking about money and time. It's so important to plan ahead for each phase of your prospecting, lead generation, conversion, onboarding, designing, project managing, offboarding, client nurturing, etc. It gives you confidence like nothing else.
Of course, it's not possible to anticipate every single situation, but the difference is clear when I planned each part of my process and when I just went with it. So invest the money and the time. It will be worth it.
Organize all your processes and systems
On the investing note, I've invested a lot of time and energy into trying to fit my process into platforms most people were using, or that designer I look up to uses… But what works for them, might not work for you. And that's absolutely fine.
It's imperative to test multiple platforms to find your favorite.
Work smarter, not harder
Plan your work week ahead, create “focused” days with similar tasks (a CEO day, content creation, etc.), and focus on one thing at a time. This will save you time and energy.

Don't wait until you get there to automate your work. Time invested in the present is time saved in the future. Personalized, well-thought automation can not only improve your productivity but also enhance your client experience.
